Current Events - Finally..some solid progress! Straw and second cutting of hay is complete. We have also dewormed, pregnancy checked and vaccinated the spring herd. This week we are planting some cover crops and a new pasture! Our soil and water pasture walk is also completed and they are helping us come up with ways to better utilize our current pastures to maximize our grazing rotations through a grazing plan! More conservation and fall calving prep is underway!
Appointments - I just weighed some cattle, and there are a few that are market weight! I will be reaching next week to the first in line on the wait list. We have gone back to the general deposit without dates to more easily keep everyone in order. Do not worry - if you have already done your beef or pork deposit, I have you in order! Deposits can be still be paid on the website.
Port Clinton - The next meet up is this Saturday, August 8. Meet-ups are monthly and always the second Saturday from 11:00-11:30 at Hangin' With The Buoys, 210 W Main St, Lakeside Marblehead. Please order online and choose local pick-up, I will confirm pick up location. Try to have exact cash or pay online. Thank you!
