About Us

Broken Arrow Cattle, barn and meat shop

Our History

While farming has been a part of my family's background from dairy farming as a kid to transitioning to a grain and beef operation, I knew this was my passion. In 2016, Broken Arrow Cattle was started as a family ran feedlot operation to allow Dakota and I to diversify from my parents farm. We have been striving to improve our carcass grading while providing a low-stress environment for the steers with animal husbandry being our main priority. We currently sell freezer beef to individuals by quarter, half, or whole sides as well as meat bundles and individual cuts straight from our licensed, state-inspected warehouse at the farm.

Passionate, Committed and Resourceful

What really makes Broken Arrow Cattle great is our committed and knowledgeable team. In this section, we’re excited to introduce the people working behind the scenes to make your experience at Broken Arrow Cattle different from the rest!

MANDI KINSEY- CLAYPOOL, Owner

Mandi Kinsey-Claypool, Owner Broken Arrow CattleI am one of the founders of this operation. I am lucky enough to farm full time with my family, sell seed and raise beef to provide quality meat to you and your family.

DAKOTA CLAYPOOL, Cattle Buyer / Hand

Dakota Claypool, Cattle Buyer Broken Arrow CattleDakota is the other founder of our feedlot. While Dakota did not grow up on a farm, he helped a family friend on theirs from time to time. His eye for great cattle has been essential on this operation as we continue to evolve the breeding and feedlot set up on our farm. He works in town as an equipment operator and helps us any chance he can.

MARK KINSEY, Jack of All Trades

Mark Kinsey, Broken Arrow Cattle, jack of all thingsMy Dad. He is the glue of this operation- truly. I buy feeders from him. He's my mechanic; my mentor; my boss; my corn, hay, and straw supplier; and my best friend. His knowledge and animal husbandry skills are where I obtained mine from and I can only hope to follow in his footsteps - for many years to come!
