We hope everyone had a great 4th of July and you are staying cool!
Current Events - Lots of activity around the farm this time of year. We finished running wheat and tried to bale some of the stems for straw, but it was just too wet... and it has only gotten worse due to these rains we have been getting! We did, unfortunately, have to replant some corn and some beans as well. If/when we get a break in weather, the straw is the first priority, and then we are on to second cutting hay (which will also be behind schedule due to the weather). We are trying to get some of our conservation projects done, but time is thin at the moment, as well as my dad hurting his shoulder. At the end of this month, we will be pregnancy checking the spring herd and DNA testing as well!
Appointments - All beef are being waitlisted until the animals are at optimal weight. Please try looking at the dates available sooner rather than later and be planning ahead! We are booking into at least September at the moment. All deposits can be paid on the website.
Port Clinton - The next meet up is THIS weekend. Meet-ups are monthly and always the second Saturday from 11:00-11:30 at Hangin' With The Buoys, 210 W Main St, Lakeside Marblehead. Please order online and choose local pick-up, I will confirm pick up location. Try to have exact cash or pay online. Thank you!
Open shops will be put on hold for now and we are going back to appointments. Due to a faulty freezer, we have low inventory right now. All inventory online is up to date and we should be getting our jerky back next week and shaved steaks as well! Other than those items, this will be our last restock for a bit so we can catch up with freezer beef orders! We are sorry for the back and forth, but thankfully we are hearing many of you love the flexibility of appointments!
Thank you to everyone for your continued support!
