A wet spring had us on our toes this year! I think that is the longest planting season we have had! The crops are starting to emerge and are off to a great start. We are also almost done with all of our first cutting hay! Pasture management, corn side dressing (fertilizer application), hay and markets will be the name of the game this month. Wheat harvest and straw baling is only a month away already as well!
Market news - Wooster market is staying steady every other week. However, the new market in Port Clinton is having some growing pains. With that being said, at this time, we are only able to commit to the first Saturday of the month in Port Clinton.
Our next pork harvest date is August 13 at Pinhook. The cattle are reaching their finish weight and are ready! We are finally caught up on the freezer beef waitlist! Feel free to book your deposits online through our website to get your date scheduled! We are currently booking July 7 for Shreve, July 10 for Boliantz (limited availability), and July 16 for Pinhook.
