Broken Arrow Farm Updates: September 2026

Broken Arrow Farm Updates: September 2026

Wow, what a month!

Current Events - August is always our “regroup” month; which does not mean slow by any means! We are rounding out our last cutting of hay today and prepping for harvest. The cover crops are looking great! New seeding is looking phenomenal with all the rain August brought us, and today we are having our last few grazing fields flown on today with barley!

We hope you all had a great Labor Day! We started fall calving this weekend and are pleased with what we are seeing; however, they have all been heifers. We are hoping that we get some bull calves coming our way to help us on the feedlot side of the operation in two years. It all takes time, but it all starts here!

Appointments - All beef are being waitlisted until the animals are at optimal weight. Thank you for your patience as we await harvest ready carcass weights! We have gone back to the generic deposit without dates to keep everyone in order more easily. Do not worry - if you have already done your beef or pork deposit, I have you in order! Pork is currently sold out and being waitlisted until next years dates are confirmed. Deposits can be still be paid on the website.

Inventory - We will be making bundles with what inventory we have left and posting on our Facebook page! Be sure to snag any items you have to have before they’re gone until a post-harvest season restock. The cattle are growing nicely- we just have to be patient…I am sorry for the inconsistency in supply.

Port Clinton - Our last Port Clinton drop off will be September 19 at 10:00 am at Hangin’ with the Buoys (210 W Main St, Lakeside Marblehead). Note the odd time and date due to calving season! Please order online and choose local pick-up, I will confirm pick up location. Try to have exact cash or pay online. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone for your continued support!
